Hello,

I have HP notebook windows 11 and I am trying to move folder from comp to 1password. I have folder ready and when I drag to copy it says 1password doesnt support this type. I had 4tb external mess up used my data recovery tool and having to put only so much on my computer to transfer over off my comp to free up room to do more. I need help desperately.

Thanks,

Thanks for clarifying! 1Password doesn't support saving folders to the app. As Tommy mentioned you would first need to compress the folder to a ZIP file before saving the ZIP file in 1Password: Zip and unzip files

However, 1Password accounts for individuals and families have a limit of 1 GB of storage space per person. If you're trying to store a folder that is terabytes in size then it sounds like using a different solution for that purpose, like an online cloud data storage service, would be a better option.

Let me know if I misunderstood.

    LOL hi Tom,

lptp is laptop, comp is computer, I have a folder on my comp that holds about 1.5 T of data recovery at a time due to only having a 2tb comp so I have to do data recovery sections at a time and place in that folder then transfer folder over to 1password since I don't know how to put the data recovery stuff directly into my 1password I set up from my computer

Without trying to determine of what you have a terabyte and a half or what you are trying to do with it, none of the 1Password products seems well suited to the task of storing it; that is unless you have a one trillion, six hundred and forty-nine billion, two hundred and sixty-seven million, four hundred and forty-one thousand, six hundred and sixty-four character password.

If you are looking for network storage for that much data, then there are many choices to suit your privacy and security preferences, and perhaps your budget, but if you goal is to move that much data between computers which you physically manage, then you should focus on local storage options for both speed and cost. Good advice on either or both options can best be found elsewhere.

1Password would not support a folder type of item. If you're uploading it will need to be a single item or a zipped file. The messaging in 1Password 8 nightly is more clear. You might be using another version such as 1Password 7 and that messaging may be different. Is this the message you experienced? Please clarify.

I read your question a couple of times but I have no idea what you are doing, what was messed up or what the end-goal would be. lptp = laptop or lastpass? comp is computer? What folder are you trying to drag/drop where? I could keep guessing, but that won't get either of us anywhere :)
