How can I fix this so I only have to login one time - not twice?
I'm having an issue with 1Password. On the Mac Ventura I will open the 1P app and login. All is working.
But minutes later, I will be on safari and when trying to login somewhere, it asked me to re-login to 1Password even though it is already live and active and unlocked. So now I have to login two times instead of once.
How can I fix this so I only have to login one time?
1Password Version: 8.10.44

I recommend installing 1Password in all of your browsers. You can download it using this page: Get 1Password for your browser
Let me know if you run into any issues.

I'm happy that things are working in Safari right now.
Also - What about using 1Password with other browsers like Brave - Arc and Vivaldi?
Are you seeing issues in the other browsers that you mentioned? Can you clarify what specific issues you're seeing in those browsers?

Hi Dave - Thanks - I followed your suggestions - seems as though it was all setup correctly (and working right now). I'll let you know if it happens again.

Thank you for the reply. It looks like 1Password for Safari is still locked, if the desktop app is unlocked (since you were able to fill using Universal AutoFill's Command-Backslash shortcut) then it sounds like the communication between the desktop app and the Safari extension isn't working. Try this:
- Open and unlock the 1Password for Mac desktop app.
- Click on 1Password next to the  in the menu bar.
- Click Settings.
- Click Browser.
- Make sure that "Connect with 1Password in the browser" is on.
Then in the browser:
- Open your browser.
- Right-click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and click Settings.
- Make sure that "Integrate this extension with the 1Password desktop app" is on.
If that still doesn't work then do you see a green dot in the browser settings page? Or a different coloured dot and an error message? And if you click on About in the browser settings page what version of 1Password for Safari do you see listed?

Ok first I was on 8.10.36 but did update to 8.10.44.
did what you said close all - open 1P then went to login (safari) - see pic attached - but did login with CMD\ even though pic looked like needed 2nd login.
Why does image say that?

Hello dealtek! 👋
I'm sorry that you're being asked to unlock 1Password twice. As a first step, make sure that you're using the latest version of 1Password for Safari (8.10.44 at the time of writing): How to keep 1Password up to date in your browser
Then try these steps:
- Close all open web browsers.
- Right-click on the 1Password icon at the top of your Mac's screen and then click Quit. Wait until the icon disappears.
- Double-click on 1Password from your Mac's Applications folder.
- Open your web browser.
Let me know if that doesn't fix the issue. I look forward to hearing from you. 🙂
