Passkeys for Amazon and on and on

Ok, I am not sure why each time I sign on to Amazon via Edge on W11, I use the Passkey as expected, but it keeps asking me to save it each time.  I get blitzed with confirmations to UPDATE.  Why??  Isn't one Passkey used until you decide to delete or replace it? 

Why is 1PW asking me to UPDATE it when I click to use the Amazon Passkey?  I always think it will replace it and not work later.  But I just do not understand and it's annoying.

    Why has 1Password not addressed this? I've been seeing such behavior with Amazon.com and passkeys for 3 years.

      It seems from here that has stopped. Not sure why as no word was given on the subject from 1pw.  

      there’s a larger issue I have than this if this indeed is cleared up.  Is it?
