Remove Duplicate Passwords
Is there a way to remove duplicate passwords easily? I accidentally imported my Chrome and Arc password exports (which are mirrors), and now I have duplicate passwords in my 1P, as seen in the screenshot below.
I can't seem to find an easier way besides using the dev-tools to write my scripts.
Hey jasonpraful 👋
1Password 8 includes a duplicate finder through Watchtower, try these steps:
1. Open and unlock the 1Password for Mac desktop app.
2. Click on Watchtower in the sidebar.
3. Click on Show Items under Items with duplicates. The duplicates remover tool will only look for items that are exactly the same and that are located in the same vault. You can read more here: Use Watchtower to find account details you need to change
If that doesn't work then can you tell me a little more about the items that you're seeing? Are they perfect duplicates of each other? Or do they have slight differences? Are they located in different vaults?

Hi1P_Blake ,
surprisingly, watchtower doesn’t capture it. Hence why I’m having to resort to another script.
here’s some more details on this:
- they do have slight differences - they have different titles
- they do belong to the same website
- they are in the same vault
let me know if there’s anything else I could do to resolve this.
thanks!
