Why is 1Password web extension still so buggy?

I've been using 1Password for years and the web extension has never been as buggy. Constant issues with the extension thinking it's locked and issues with it connecting to the main app. It's actually incredibly annoying that these issues haven't been addressed at all in months

    Hi David,

    It’s hard to reproduce, what I’ve noticed is it happens whenever there are 1Password updates. I don’t know when you’ll be doing an update, if you want to give me a heads up of like it will happen on this day at this time, I can keep an eye out & send diagnostic reports back.

    I'm sorry that you've been experiencing trouble with the 1Password extension in your browser. Based on the details you've shared, it sounds like there's some trouble with communication between the desktop app and browser extension. Can you reproduce the behaviour you're encountering and send over some diagnostics, so that we can take a closer look:

    Please attach the files to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com with a link to this thread. After sending the email, you’ll receive a reply from our BitBot with a Support ID that looks something like [#ABC-12345-678]. Post that here, and I’ll be able to locate your message and make sure it’s gotten to the right place.

      I'd been doing that -- with paid business support contract -- but your staff just keeps saying nobody has these problems, it must be just us and wasting our time.

      1Password Safari extension just flat out doesn't work

      • loses contact constantly
      • never unlocks when the main app unlocks

       

      This is 100% replicable on a brand new macbook with only 1Password installed after unboxing it. I've given the proof to your business support repeatedly, and gone nothing back from them but evasion. 

      Please don't pretend you care, and ask people to waste their time sending you information you won't use. It's insulting.
