Wi-Fi Sync is rate limited

Hello,

My devices are quite old (iPhone 7, MacBook Pro 2015). They worked well with 1Password so far.

Recently I upgraded my phone to an iPhone 16e (...still using the 2015 MacBook Pro). When I do a WLAN sync from the laptop to the new phone, I get a message on my phone saying:

"Wi-Fi sync is rate limited! Please retry in 5.0 seconds. 1Password encountered a problem."

I never got this message on my old phone so I'm not sure why I'm keep getting this on the new phone? BTW, this has no effect on the transfer. WLAN syncs successfully despite this message. It's just annoying. Also, even if I wait 5 seconds or more, this message still keeps popping up.

Any idea why?

    I'm sorry that you're running into issues with WLAN sync. WLAN sync and 1Password 7 are no longer supported and haven't been tested on the latest versions of iOS/macOS. I recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of 1Password: Upgrade to 1Password 8

    Regarding troubleshooting WLAN sync itself, here are some articles that might help: 


    1Password Support isn't able to help troubleshoot WLAN sync issues beyond the information in these articles since we haven't worked with WLAN sync in quite some time. It's possible that other community members may be able to provide more advice if they've run into this issue recently on their devices.
