Hello Community, I would like to see the support for the Zen Browser but unfortunately when I install the extension it does not connect to my desktop app. I know for macOS and Linux there is a kind of "fix" for it but unfortunately I have Windows. What about support that finally works? Zen Browser is not unknown and the source code is publicly available unlike other browsers. This has been happening a LOT in recent months. To start with, the browser icon shows locked. Click on it and it says "oops something went wrong". I can't recall what I click next, but things don't work. When I come back to the dialog box again, it now says "open 1password". The button doesn't do anything. I already have 1password open anyway, and unlocked. I close 1password just in case, and the button still does nothing. I click on the locked 1password icon in the username field, but it does nothing. If I close and reopen Safari, it will work again for awhile, then stop working. Issue Summary I've noticed that 1Password doesn't recognize or autofill input fields with type="search". This is a standard HTML5 input type documented in MDN Web Docs as a text input field optimized for search queries. Environment Device: Mac Browser: Microsoft Edge Mac, 1Password, and MS Edge versions: Latest as of March 9, 2025 Detailed Description In my company's business system login form, the enterprise code and employee code inputs use type="search", and 1Password is unable to autofill these fields. The specific HTML looks like this: <input class="input_w100 validate[required]" id="m_login_employee_company" type="search" name="WEAEnterpriseID" value="" placeholder="企業コード" maxlength="10"> <input class="input_w100 validate[required]" id="m_login_employee_mynumber" type="search" name="WEAPersonalID" value="" placeholder="従業員コード" maxlength="10"> These fields contain important user identification information for password management, and the inability to autofill them creates unnecessary friction. Requested Feature I would like 1Password to recognize type="search" input fields in the same way it handles type="text" fields, allowing autofill of custom field values into these inputs. Current Workarounds Currently, I'm working around this limitation by: Right-clicking the field and manually selecting the value to fill Copying values from 1Password and pasting them manually Since many enterprise systems use search fields for login information, this feature would benefit many users who face similar issues with their corporate applications.29Views0likes2CommentsAuto-fill frequently stops working (macOS, Safari)
Issue: The auto-fill feature in Safari frequently becomes non-responsive. This causes frustration because a first order feature for a password manager has an obvious bug. This results in me wanting to look for alternatives to 1Password. Steps to reproduce: Open a login page that under expected circumstances should auto-fill. Select username field. Unlock 1Password if necessary. Display contextual 1Password dropdown within user field. With cursor, select desired item from menu. No response. When selected the item does not populate the field. Expected result: Selecting an item in the 1Password menu should populate the credential fields. Workarounds: (both of these are unacceptable) Roundtrip manually copy/paste out of native 1Password app. Quitting and reopening Safari. Recently I learned that Bitwarden supports creating email aliases and that they also support different providers for this feature, while 1Password so far only supports Fastmail as far as I know. I'd like to see this feature expanded upon in 1Password and there are two main areas that I'd like to see improved. Support for more providers such as SimpleLogin, Addy.io, Firefox Relay, Fastmail, DuckDuckGo, or Forward Email. Make it possible to use the integration in more places than just 1Password in the browser. 1Password Version: Not Provided Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: Not Provided Browser: Not ProvidedSolved155Views2likes4CommentsCustom autofill behavior for OPNsense
Hi there, I finally moved to 1Password 8 after resisting the cloud for what seems like a dozen years. Glad to see the new autofill behavior customisations (at least I hope they're new and I didn't miss them all this time). However, I can't get the autofill to work for one site, the OPNsense 25.1 login page. It's on a subdomain, and because I have other stuff on other subdomains, I have all that stuff on the domain set to "only fill on this exact domain". The OPNsense login is the only one that doesn't work in Safari on the Mac or in Firefox in Linux Mint. It does work fine on my iPhone, though. Anybody else? Hi, I am a new user (I used a well-known competitor for years) and I am very happy to have passed to 1password. I have been testing it only for a few days but I would already have some things that I would like to clarify. When I start the computer (we are talking about a personal computer in my house on which I don't even use the suspension and above all I do not use PIN or Windows hello nor biometry) the desktop app starts but is (rightly) blocked. If I have not even misunderstood the extension for the browser remains blocked until the desktop app does not unlock via password, is it correct? I was wondering if it is possible (but I think I understood that for the moment it is not possible) to unlock the desktop app through the biometry of my phone ... practically when I want to unlock the desktop app, a request for unlock should arrive through biometry on my phone from the 1password app and therefore unlock the desktop app. It would also be useful that this also operated for the browser extension regardless of the desktop app. Doing it this way, as a further security requirement, an option could be added to make sure that the requests for unlocking are geo-limit, that is, that requests from abroad also require the password or a confirmation from an email. Maybe a solution like this is in development? Because I believe that always type the password, however, exposes risks, such as keylogger or even simply prying looks ...37Views0likes2CommentsOpenAI.com OPT autofill
I have my openai (chatgpt login) saved in 1pass as I sign in with google ... I also have my OTP code on that same entry but I can't get auto-complete or the 1pass dropdown to fill in the OTP. 1Password Version: Not Provided Extension Version: 8.10.46.26 OS Version: 14.6.1 (23G93) Browser: firefox97Views0likes5CommentsFrozen Account Behavior
Hello, A few days ago my account was frozen and i noticed the following issue. The add-on in Firefox was requesting me to save my login information while the same information is already saved into the vault. This happens only if the account is frozen, if the subscription is active this will not happen. Is this supposed to happen or it's some kind of "bug" because the services are paused?Solved57Views0likes2Comments
