Unable to delete trash 247 unnamed items off the trash
After upgrading to subscription, and moved all items to private vault, and deleting the old Version 7 vault, I am stuck with about 250 items labelled unnamed, items rejected by server 1116. When empty the trash is selected only new trashed items are deleted.

Hi @johnosheridan! Welcome to the forum!
I am stuck with about 250 items labelled unnamed
Can you please share a screenshot of one of the items that is labeled unnamed? I would like to understand where the "unnamed" text appears exactly?
When empty the trash is selected only new trashed items are deleted.
What do you mean by "new" here?

Hi, if I delete an item which is in the new vault, it goes into the trash, when I empty the trash, the new deleted item is deleted, gone but the unnamed stays.

Thank you for the screenshot @johnosheridan. Do you still have your old Primary vault inside the app? If you do, can you please switch to it and let me know if all the items there look good, or if they also say "Unnamed"?

I still have the old vault on an iphone which has not been set into the account. There the items are ok, it was sync via iCloud. The unnamed items in the trash are obviously the items of the old vault that was deleted on the iMac . I had a standalone V7 1Password before which was sync over iCloud. When I took the account and set it up in the app, initially on the iMac I end up with 3 vault, one was the old private one + 2 new ones. When I transferred the items to the new one these unnamed were created by the APP, I the moved them to the trash and tried to delete them without success. They appear in the iMac app only not on my iPad or iPhone where everything is normal. Should i delete the 1 Password on the mac and re-install ??? I don't want to risk to loose everything. Cheers, John

@johnosheridan - what happens if you visit https://start.1password.com/ and sign into your 1password.com account there? Do you see all your items, with the correct names? Or are they all named "Unnamed" as well? Or is there nothing there? I want to verify what's actually in your account first before proceeding with any other steps you may need to take. Let us know if you think what's in your account when viewed in a browser is a complete and up-to-date copy of your data.

Hi, thanks for your help. Checked via the browser and there the trash is empty. The trash is also empty on all my devices except the iMac which was used to do the initial setup and transfer from the standalone app version 7 to the subscribe account version, so it is the consequence of a mishap during the setup and transfer. Maybe I can un-install the app on that computer completely and re-install but before I do this, I want to be sure that it will not delete the whole thing and loose my data. Just in case something will go wrong what is the best way to backup the vault in order to re-install it later if needed. Tried to export using the 3 different ways but all methods export the unnamed trash items as well. Tried on my laptop and there the export was OK without the unnamed items. So I have already a manual way of recover, but would prefer of course a backup. Looked in the Library but it seems the last available Backup was made before the shift to subscription, so probably unsuitable. Could not find where the new backups are stored after subscription.

What about the contents of the vault? Other than the Trash, do you see all your items on 1Password.com?

yes everything is fine except those un-deletable "unnamed items" on the iMac only.

@johnosheridan - if that's the case, and you just want to get back to having the same setup on your Mac that you do on other devices and the 1password.com website, I'd recommend Starting Over on your Mac. This will reset all the data in 1Password on your Mac (but won't touch it on the server or your other devices). The next time you open 1Password for Mac, it will be as if you're a brand-new user. Just sign into your 1password.com account, and you should have a clean setup with no trash issues. Then, make sure you're using only the 1password.com account on your other devices as well (there should be no remaining Primary or other standalone vaults on any devices). Let us know how that goes for you. :)

OK everything is now fine. Did delete completely the 1Password App on the iMac, re-download the App and re-install.
Just notice that it is not possible anymore to edit/replace the icon/logo of an item. It goes auto to load a related file???
which is obviously not what I want to do. No show into support. Do you need a trick to do that now?0 -
@johnosheridan: Glad to hear that you're up and running! If we have a Rich Icon for a given URL already, 1Password will automatically apply it to the Login. However, you can still edit any item to add your own icon if you want. Cheers! :)
