1Password (not) supported in Windows 10 S?

One of my family members (thus part of my 1Password Families setup) needs to buy a laptop for school. This laptop runs Windows 10 S.

Does 1Password work on Windows 10 S?

Or do I need to "switch out of S mode"? (which cannot be undone!)

    Thank you for using 1Password with your family!

    We do not have a full 1Password app in the Microsoft Store now, sorry for the inconvenience. The good news is that we expect that to change sometime down the road, because Microsoft is working on a new version of Microsoft Edge, based on Chromium (beta is already available). With this new version of Edge, you won't need a standalone app, because 1Password X will be available for this new version of Edge.
