confused about TouchID

Hey there,

I received a new Mac at my job and it has a touchbar/TouchID. I want to use it to unlock 1Password, but I was concerned and confused by this statement from the Agile Bits website:

_Don’t share the password you use to log in to your Mac. If you enable Touch ID in 1Password on your Mac, it’s important that you guard the password you use to log in to your Mac closely. Anyone who knows it can unlock 1Password.
_

How's that true? I still need to either use my fingerprint or enter my master password to unlock. How does someone (say, an IT professional at my job) who might have access to login to my Mac – either with the account login password or via Admin controls) have the ability to unlock 1Password if TouchID is enabled?

Thanks!
