I've already posted this in the Lounge section of the forum, but I'm hoping to get more traction here in the Windows section.

Will there ever be a Dark Mode for 1Password?

I have had 1Password for many years (I believe it's been over a decade if not more). Almost every year, I post in the forums or send an email to Customer Support to ask for the same feature. Dark Mode.

In my Notifications for the 1Password forums, I have been asking for a Dark Mode version of 1Password since March 2017. Over the years, I have been informed via this forum and 1 Password Team Members that not enough people are requesting a Dark Mode version of 1Password.

1Password is the only application that I currently use that I cannot switch to a Dark Mode.

Could you please add Dark Mode to 1Password?

PS: If anyone else would like a Dark Mode version of 1Password, please comment and request Dark Mode. Apparently, AgileBits doesn't think there's enough interest in a Dark Mode 1Password.

Thanks so much for writing in with this feedback about dark mode! I've removed the other post in Lounge to keep conversation in one tidy location. :smile:

I completely understand where you're coming from, and I thank you very much for your patience. Dark Mode is definitely something that the whole team wants to bring to 1Password on Windows - and it is still on the table - but other higher-priority tasks have taken precedence. As our policy we do not discuss timelines or expected arrival-dates for new features or improvements, but I do want to reassure you that dark mode is something that the whole team would like to make available, not just for our users but for ourselves as well.

Adding in my vote on here too! I would love a dark mode for the Windows app (extension as well but that is another thread)!
Pretty much the only app I use on Windows that still doesn't have dark mode. I know there are more pressing things, but I really hope it comes soon. Macs have had it since 2018 after all!

Thank you for the responses. Sadly, they are the same responses I've received for the last four years (if not longer) regarding the Windows application.

1Password for Mac has had a Dark Mode since October 2018 - https://blog.1password.com/1password-7.2-for-mac-welcome-to-the-dark-side/

I'm disappointed that 1Password for Windows didn't receive the same treatment.

Dark mode is a must have for me. As with Windows Notepad, I had to switch to a different application that did have a Dark Mode. It looks like it's time to do the same with 1Password. I do hope that Dark Mode is implemented in the future.

Another +1 for dark mode. 1Password is the last application I use on Windows that doesn't have some sort of dark mode.
