1password or 1password safari extension?
Setting up a new MBP, and I'm confused as to how 1password should be configured and exactly what I should be installing. Installing both the app and safari extension seems redundant.
I installed both 1Password and the 1Password Safari extension from the App Store:
Both are running:
Both are active in Safari:
This results in both showing up in the toolbar.
Do I not need both? What about for Chrome?

"1Password for Safari" is our standalone extension that integrates with 1Password 8 Early Access, and offers features such as Fastmail integration. It does not integrate with 1Password 7, and only supports 1Password accounts.
The extension titled "1Password" is the one included with 1Password 7, and does not support Fastmail integration, but integrates with 1Password 7 for a shared lock state.

Thanks for the quick reply, sounds like I just want the "1Password" then.

If you are using 1Password version 7, that's correct @hallsofmontezuma :+1:
