Bug Report. Attaching a file to a 1P record does not work
I wanted to attach a screenshot (.jpg file) of my pharmacy discount membership card to the log-in record for logging onto the website. I added some text records to duplicate the entries on the card itself, but sometime in the pharmacy they want to see the card.
So I pressed the + Add More and selected Add A File. The software took me to a file open save dialog to choose the file on my local hard drive to add to the record in 1P.
The wheel spins as it it says it is uploading the image to IP, but it never finishes. The dreaded spinning wheel of death. I can close the record and come back hours later, and the wheel is still spinning and getting nowhere.
Maybe you know about this defect or missing feature, and it has not been implemented yet in the beta but will be fixed in the release. Then again, perhaps this is news to you and a real bug?

Hey @FogCityNative:
This definitely isn't the experience we want you to have when attaching a file to an item. If you try another file, or another item, do you still run into issues? If so, I'd like to ask you to collect some diagnostics info from the 1Password app:
- Open and unlock 1Password.
- Choose the three dot menu > Settings (⌘ + Comma), then click Advanced.
- Click Send Diagnostics.
- Click Reveal.
Attach the file created to an email addressed to
support+forum@1password.com
. Include your username:FogCityNative
, and a link to this thread:https://1password.community/discussion/126987/bug-report-attaching-a-file-to-a-1p-record-does-not-work#latest
. After sending your email you'll receive a reply from BitBot with a support ID that looks something like [#ABC-12345-678]. Post that here, and I'll be able to locate your email message and take a closer look.Jack
