Family MembersUsing Different Browsers

I know this has been answered before, but I can NOT find it again. I apologize in advance.

We have the family plan, I use the Brave browser, my wife uses Firefox and our kids use Chromium - I wont get into the why's and what for's about all that.

The question is this: How can each member have their individual 1Password account set up in their browser extension? The only account we can use is whichever one is on the desktop app. I don't want to have to log out of my wife's or kids' 1Password account to get into my vaults.

Thanks!!!!!!

Nevermind! found it in the Desktop App under Settings > Browser > uncheck Connect with 1Password in the Browser

  • Hey @Ryan7hompson:

Glad you caught on to exactly what I would have suggested!

If you'd like to use biometrics in your browser, using separate Windows accounts for each of your family members would be your best bet, but if you're okay with typing in your respective account passwords in your own browsers, disabling that setting should get everything working as expected. Let me know how it goes!
