I use self-built chromium browser. I always know 1Password cannot connect to chromium since it's not signed. However,

I fail to see how not allowing connection makes 1Password safer. You can use the browser extension on its own anyway. If the browser is compromised, you passwords are compromised anyway, no matter you allow connection to desktop app or not.
All in all, I want to unlock 1Password in my chromium with fingerprints.
