lost 1password extension on Safari

Today, I have lost 1password inside Safari.

I have tried to reinstall the extension many times, to restart 1password, Safari, to reboot macOS without any success.

The 1password extension is not displayed anymore inside Safari.

How can I get it back to Safari?

This is still working with Chrome.

Finally, what I have done to fix the issue:
    1. close Safari
    2. on Terminal/iTerm: run the command: /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Support/lsregister -f -R /Applications/Safari.app
    3. start Safari
    4. get a banner to enable 1password extension
    5. clicking on activate
    6. enable for all site
    7. close Safari
    8. start Safari and this time it was working.

    Hey @Alanka:

Glad to hear you were able to locate the steps to resolve this issue. We're working to make this a quick troubleshooting step in 1Password 8 for Mac, so keep an eye out.

The terminal command referenced above also worked for me. However, the more troubling issue is why did this happen at all? Keep in mind that, since upgrading to 1P8 and then downloading the 1P for Safari 2.3.3 app and enabling the extension within Safari, it's been working as expected for weeks now… until today. For NO REASON I can see the 1P extension simply vanished from Safari. As in, not in the Extensions list anymore. And launching the 1P for Safari app did nothing. This is why I had to use the terminal command.

    Hi @KenGruberman:

We've shared this situation with our friends at Apple, but for the time being, our recommendation would be to run the Terminal command (or our Help > Troubleshooting option available in the beta and nightly releases of 1Password 8 for Mac) when the problem does occur.
