I have to unlock manually, so I have to type the password twice for 1password and that's 100% more than expected

Try this and see if it provides relief. It sounds like something is disrupting the communication between Edge and 1Password.
That hasn't changed the behavior.
I'm sorry for the trouble, it sounds like 1Password in your browser is having a hard time connecting with the 1Password desktop app.
I think it would be useful if we could take a closer look at some logs and what may be going wrong.
