Autolock in Chrome
Is there any way to NOT have 1Password lock itself every time I put my computer to sleep? I don't understand why this isn't an option, shouldn't it be on me if I want to risk that on my personal computer? I saw some people have the ability to use TPM 2.0 but for some reason it doesn't give me that option either.. It's so frustrating to have to use another password manager to keep track of the pw for 1Password every time I wake my PC. There has to be a better way! Can someone please help before I cancel this subscription?

Hi there @plora2003
Yes, you can. Here's what to do:
- Open and unlock the main 1Password app. (note: not the browser extension)
- Click the 🔽 down arrow at the top of the sidebar and choose Settings.
- On the Security tab, turn off "Lock on sleep, screensaver, or switching users".
There's more information about managing when 1Password locks here: How to set 1Password to lock automatically.
You also mentioned:
I saw some people have the ability to use TPM 2.0 but for some reason it doesn't give me that option either.
You should see this option in the Settings for the main 1Password app on the Security tab, and you can find how to set that up here: Use Windows Hello to unlock 1Password on your Windows PC.
Let me know if you have any questions or need any further help. :)

Thanks for the reply. The 1Password for Windows app is indeed required to access the Windows Hello settings that Grey mentioned since the desktop app has access to more system functions than the browser extension does.
You can download 1Password for Windows here: Download 1Password for Windows
If you have a 1Password account then the app is already available as part of your membership at no additional cost. 🙂

Why dont you allow me to leave the password manager unlocked in browser? Shouldn't it be my decision as to whether or not the computer is safe? This feature alone is why I won't be renewing my subscription and why I'm moving my family to another solution. Makes zero sense.

Hello @plora2003,
Thanks for your feedback and question.
Why dont you allow me to leave the password manager unlocked in browser?
When you close your browser window, this closes and locks the 1Password extension, requiring you to unlock 1Password again.
Through the use of app integration, we were able to solve this by having the extension look to and match the lock state of the app automatically, based on the settings the app.
If you'd prefer not to use the app, there is a lock timer you can adjust with extension's settings:
1. Right-click the 1Password icon in your toolbar > Settings.
2. Click the Security tabYour browser will need to remain open for this lock timer to continue.
Please let us know if you have any further questions. We'll be happy to help!
