Auto-filling stopped working

I used a banking app (CommBiz) that has been working a dream. But just today (I haven't logged in for a couple of weeks probably) it mucked up in 2 ways:
1. First screen opens with the login screen.
2. I click in either of the data entry boxes.
3. 1Password pops up (literally) to allow me to either Face ID or type in my master password. In this case it wanted me to type it in but the keyboard completely obscured the data entry box for my password. I did end of up just typing it in and it worked but it's disconcerting to not be able to see where I'm typing.
4. After doing what I needed to do, it asks for verification by asking me to log in again. This time 1Password didn't respond at all! I had to open 1Password on my phone, copy and paste the password. (Switching apps logged me out automatically so it was a pain.)
