1PW extension for Safari fails to unlock

Click on padlocked icon, a new blank tab opens in Safari. And that'll that happens. Machine re-started. Also removed and re-installed 1PW for Safari extension which is showing as installed at top of browser screen (& in settings) but when looking for extension version number I see this message on the Help page "1Password is not installed in your browser. Install it now."

1Password Version: 1Password for Mac 8.10.20 (81020026)
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: 14.2 Beta (23C5030f)
Browser: Safari

As a follow-up; other browsers continue to unlock correctly -- Opera and Chrome (latest betas). I've also set Safari to fill passwords via its own manager for the moment.

Delete some History from Safari (under History menu )
    try last hour or today
and Quit Safari, it should work after relaunching Safari

it is address in the Browser section of the forums, but it says delete all history, some people have tried deleting history with last hour and Today and it worked as well

  • @Gilles9 is correct. A lot of folks have had success with deleting an hours worth of history.
