Chrome extension not syncing

Hello. I have a big issue with this.
Step to reproduce:
1. Edit a item
2. Auto fill still filling the old password
3. Open the extension, the password is still the old, not the new that I edited

After 10 minutes the extension finally synced the correct password, but this in unacceptable.

Thanks

  • Hello @marco811! 👋

I'm sorry that you're not seeing edits immediately reflected in 1Password in the browser. So that I can better understand where the delay is occurring can you tell me the following:

    1. Are you editing the item using the 1Password app? If you are then on which device?
    2. After you edit the item and see that the change hasn't made it to the browser extension, can you check to see if the change can be seen when you log in to your 1Password account on 1Password.com (in the browser, not the app)?

I look forward to hearing from you.

    1. I am editing by pressing the "edit" button from the Chrome extension. Then, it redirects me to the 1Password website to edit the password.

    2. Yes, the change has been made on the 1Password website.

  • Hello @marco811, thank you for your reply. I followed the steps you shared but can't reproduce the same issue.

So that I can take a closer look at the issue you are experiencing, I would like to request that you send us some information to support+forum@1Password.com.

    1. First, please recreate the issue you're experiencing.
    2. Then save a console log for 1Password in the browser using the steps here -> Save a console log for 1Password in your browser.
    3. Attach the file to your next reply.

After emailing in, you'll receive a reply from BitBot, our friendly robot assistant with a Support ID that looks something like [#ABC-12345-678]. Post that here, and I’ll be able to locate your message and make sure it’s gotten to the right place.

I look forward to assisting you further.

I'm seeing a similar behavior, with perhaps an additional symptom.
Editing the name of an entry in the vault from the app is not reflected in the Chrome extension.
Archiving an entry from the vault is not removing it from the extension.

Restarting Chrome after force quitting (to preserve the open pages) updates the extension.

Since restarting Chrome, I cannot duplicate the issue. If I see it again, I'll post up the log.
