do you need the 1password macOS app to use the browser extension?

title. wondering cuz my friends work doesnt allow her to install the 1password app as she needs an admins password but she can get the browser extension and i want to gift her 1password. thanks so much!

    Thanks for reaching out! You can certainly use 1Password in the browser without the desktop app. While the desktop app does add other features, like the ability to unlock 1Password using Touch ID and an Apple Watch, the browser extension can be used by itself.
