When I am in Safari, 1Password works well (same on my desktop). When in Chrome on my iPhone the Google password manager pops up even though it is turned off and I have deleted all passwords from Chrome.

1Password Version: 8.10.36
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: iOS 17.5.1
Browser: Chrome

  • Hello @lesleylc! 👋

Thanks for reaching out! You can turn off the built-in password manager in Chrome on your iPhone by following all of the steps in this guide:

Once that's done, make sure that 1Password is setup to work with iOS Password AutoFill:

    1. On the Home screen of your iPhone, tap Settings.
    2. Tap Passwords > Password Options.
    3. Turn on AutoFill Passwords and Passkeys.
    4. Select 1Password.
    5. De-select Chrome and any other password managers listed here.

Then try to fill a login in Chrome using this guide: Use 1Password to fill and save on your iPhone and iPad

Let me know if you run into any issues. 🙂

I completed the steps you mentioned to turn off the GPM. When I try to enter a website in Chrome, often no key icon appears. When it does appear, it will only fill in the password and forces me to type in or copy/paste the username/email address. Kinda tiresome.

I'm sorry that AutoFill isn't working reliably in Chrome on your iPhone. Can you provide the website address to one of the websites where you're running into the issue so that I can take a look? Don't post your username/password, just the website address.

I look forward to hearing from you.
