Delete a Migration Entry

I have an entry in my 1Password vault titled: 1Password Account Migration.

Based on the entry’s “last edited” date (over 6-years ago), I believe this was part of my migration from 1Pv6 to 1Pv7. In the entry’s Note section, it states: “This item contains information to help you migrate your other devices to your account. Please do not delete this item.”

I’m trying to cleanup some very old and obsolete items in 1Passwod. Since all my other devices have migrated twice since this entry was created, is it going to cause any issues if I delete the entry? If so, what is the impact?

I have an entry in 1Pv8 titled: 1Password Account Migration.

Based on its "last edited date" (almost 6-years ago), I believe the entry was created when I migrated from 1Pv6 to 1Pv7.

I'm trying to do a little house cleaning and would like to delete the entry. There is a comment in the note section "This item contains information to help you migrate your other devices to your account. Please do not delete this item."

All my other devices were migrated years ago and subsequently migrated again to 1Pv8. There does not appear to be an entry of this type for my migration from 1Pv7 to 1Pv8.

Is there any reason why I can't delete the entry?

    Thanks

  • Hello @BundleOfEnergy! 👋

Thank you for the question! The "1Password Account Migration" is likely a migration receipt confirming that you've migrated your items from an older standalone vault to your 1Password account. So that I can better understand the situation can you tell me the following:

    1. Do you see all of your items in a correct state when you log in to your 1Password account on 1Password.com (in the browser, not the app)?
    2. Do you see a vault named "Primary" on any of your devices?
    3. Are you able to post a screenshot of the "1Password Account Migration" item? Make sure to redact or blur any sensitive information.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    1. Yes, all items are in 1Password.com
    2. Yes, I have a vault named "Primary" on "all" my devices (e.g., MacBook, iPhone, iPad, Windows devices)
    3. Redacted photo attached

Thank you for the reply and for the screenshot. Since you're seeing a vault named "Primary" on your devices, I recommend reaching out to our migration team so that they can take a look and advise further. Please send an email to support+forum@1Password.com using the email address associated with your 1Password account and include the following information:

After emailing in, you'll receive a reply from BitBot, our friendly robot assistant with a Support ID that looks something like [#ABC-12345-678]. Post that here, and I'll be able to locate your message and make sure it's gotten to the right place. 🙂
