Automatic update does not start automatically

I have 1Password for macOS.
Updates should start and install automatically. However, this does not happen for me.
Unfortunately, I only received the 8.10.40 update today (!). So I received the update from August 13 today, August 22. But only because I restarted my Mac. It didn't work on its own.
I also don't feel like checking for updates every time.
Could you please fix this?

1Password Version: 8.10.40
Extension Version: 2.27.1
OS Version: macOS 14.6.1
Browser: Safari 17.6

    Hello @element! 👋

I'm sorry that 1Password isn't updating as quickly as expected on your Mac. As a first step, can you make sure that automatic updates are enabled:

    1. Open and unlock 1Password for Mac.
    2. Click on 1Password next to the  in the menu bar.
    3. Click Settings.
    4. Click Advanced.
    5. Make sure that "Install updates automatically" is enabled.

If this was already enabled then let me know.

    Hello @Dave_1P,
yes, the setting for automatic updates is switched on. And it was already switched on before.

Thank you for confirming that you already had the option turned on. I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Mac:

    Sending Diagnostics Reports (Mac)

Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com.

    With your email please include:

    Please send the entire file.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks very much!

    @Dave_1P And one more question:
In the automatic reply from BitBot, I also received a message that I should verify my e-mail address:

To help expedite the process, you can use the following link to verify your email address: Verify your email.

I have done that. But I was surprised because I sent the e-mail to you using my e-mail address, which is also the one used for my contract. Here in the forum I use a different e-mail address specifically for forums.

Thank you for posting the Support ID! Verifying your email address allows the support team to discuss account-specific information with you if that email address is associated with a 1Password account.

The team will get back to you via email as soon as possible. Please continue the conversation there.
