Browser Extension not unlocking

I am experiencing consistent inconsistent behaviour when trying to unlock via my 1p extension.
1. I enter my Password which appears to be accepted but then the extension does not unlock.
2. The extension unlocks but then relocks even while trying to access a site with username and password already filled in by the extension.

None of this occurs if I unlock 1P via my Windows desktop version. When unlocked via the desktop I have never experienced exactly this problem. Only that on occasions having unlocked via the desktop the Extension icon remains locked but if I click on it to access a site, it opens to show my Favorites and then the locked icon changes.+

I have the nightly version, Windows 10, (up to date).

Finally, I should add that on occasion I have found that the programme was updating in the background. While this is happening the Browser icon does not respond. The user is not informed that the update is ongoing nor informed that it has occurred. At least I am not informed by 1P but I have an App which tells me when an update has completed and made changes to the Registry

    I'm sorry that 1Password isn't unlocking properly when you try to unlock from the browser. The next time that the issue occurs, I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from 1Password in your browser:
