I’m having this problem on my Mac and iOS devices as of today. The Safari Extension on my iOS devices is just not cooperating, and my Mac won’t allow me to use Touch ID. All of this happened today. At this moment, I can’t use 1Password on my iPad or iPhone through the Safari Extension. I can use it on my Mac. I just can’t open the Extension with Touch ID. Help.

  • Hello @jazzman! 👋

I'm sorry that you're running into trouble with the Safari extension on your iOS devices. We recently released a new update to 1Password for Safari on iOS where we're fixed an issue where you’d have to turn the extension off and on again. If you haven't updated yet then follow the steps in this guide:

If you still have trouble using 1Password for Safari after updating to version 8.10.44 then please let me know.

and my Mac won’t allow me to use Touch ID.

Do you see an error message when you try to use Touch ID with 1Password on your Mac? Are you still able to unlock the Mac itself using Touch ID?

    Hi @Dave_1P

It appears that everything is back to normal now. Thanks for touching base. You all do an outstanding job at keeping things running properly at 1Password.

  • I'm happy that everything is working again. Thank you for the kind words, I'll share them with the team. 😊
