1Password Safari Extension Fingerprint Unlock Not Working!

Who can help me troubleshoot this issue? I tried all the recommendations on a few other threads and nothing is working. It just started not working a few weeks ago and in general 1Password browser extension (Chrome) is slow and 75% of the time does not auto-fill the passwords. I have to go and copy and paste even though the extension pop up box shows up. Please help!

Extension Version: version 8.10.48.6
OS Version: MacOS Monterey 12.7.6
Browser: Chrome

    Hello @azzurrikicks! 👋

    I'm sorry that Touch ID isn't working to unlock 1Password in the browser. Have you turned on Touch ID for your Mac and are you able to use Touch ID to unlock the Mac itself? If you are then I'd like you to please do the following:

    1. Completely turn off your Mac and then turn it on to restart it. (Don't skip this step.)
    2. Open and unlock 1Password for Mac.
    3. Choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Touch ID & Password.
    4. Turn off all of the features, then turn all of them back on again.
    5. Go back to 1Password and choose 1Password > Settings from the menu bar.
    6. Click the Security icon, then turn on "Touch ID".
    7. Lock 1Password by choosing 1Password > Lock from the menu bar.
    8. Now try unlocking 1Password using Touch ID.

    Let me know if you're now able to use Touch ID to unlock 1Password. If you're not then can you tell me the following:

    1. You mentioned both Safari and Chrome in your message. Which browser are you using? Or are you using both?
    2. Can you tell me where specifically 1Password is slow? Is it when unlocking 1Password in the browser? When filling an item?
    3. When 1Password fails to fill your login credentials do you still see the login suggestion on the page:

    Thank you for your reply. Ok, first I followed steps re: touch ID and it seems to be working now.

    Re: browser, it's Chrome (sorry). The issues I'm seeing re: slowness or not filling in...I go to a site and click in login box and the 1password box does not pop up like it used to. I have to go up to the menu bar and click on browser extension and choose auto-fill to get the passwords to fill it. It used to let me do that from the password field in whatever website I was on.

    Also, quite frequently it will not auto-fill when I choose that in extension and I have to copy and paste box email/password.

    Lastly, re slowness... when I click on browser extension (due to issues filling in passwords) it frequently sits with a blank box, like it's thinking and won't let me log in or pull password info manually at all. Hmm...

    Thank you for the reply. Are there any particular websites where you're not seeing login suggestions appear like they should? Or does it happen on all websites? Let me know and I can investigate further.

    That definitely doesn't sound right. The next time that this happens, I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from 1Password in your browser:

    Sending Diagnostics Reports (browser extension)

    Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com.
