IP keeps locking
I have two different instances of 1P locking.
I open 1P. My security settings are to ask for my Password once per week. Lock if system is idle for 1 Day. Do not lock when computer locks is un checked. Allow 1P to prevent your computer going to sleep is checked. Despite all these 1P requires me to unlock it several times a day. It fullasks for my Windows PIN occasionally but most times it requires the full password. I should add that I am retired, live at home and nobody ever uses my computer, except me. My wife has her own.
The second instance is as follows. I unlock 1P on the desktop. I try to log in to a site and 1P in the browser locks and I have to enter my full password once again. This issue is sporadic.
- All thought, advice welcome.

Hello @Andrew42! 👋
I'm sorry that you're being prompted for your account password more often than expected. Even if you set "Confirm my account password" to "Never", you might still be asked for your account password in certain cases such as:
- If your face or fingerprint isn’t recognized, or there was an error on your companion device.
- If you’re trying to change your account password.
- If you’ve restarted 1Password, including after updating 1Password or restarting your PC, when the Trusted Platform Module isn’t turned on.
Can you tell me if you might have run into one of these cases?
The second instance is as follows. I unlock 1P on the desktop. I try to log in to a site and 1P in the browser locks and I have to enter my full password once again. This issue is sporadic.
The next time that this issue occurs, right-click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and click Settings. Then can you tell me if you see
Integration status: Connected 🟢
or do you see an error message with a different coloured circle?-Dave

@Dave-1P. Thank you for your help. I have been into Settings on the browser and have found two things:
- Integration Status: Communication problem with a yellow circle.
- If I look in Security, I find a statement that reads: "You have not integrated this browser with the 1Password desktop app. It continues with the statement that because of this IP will always lock when you quit this browser.
This seem likely to be a cause of my problems. My question is: what do I do about it? I have tried to google how to integrate the browser with 1P desktop but can find no help because I have been into the General section and the integration button is set to integrate.
Please set me right!0 -
Today I removed the extension from the browser and reinstalled it. No difference at all. All the comments in my previous message are still valid.

Thank you for that information. Can you try the following:
- Open and unlock the 1Password for Windows desktop app.
- Click your account or collection at the top of the sidebar and click Settings.
- Click Browser.
- Make sure that "Connect with 1Password in the browser" is on.
Then in the browser:
- Open your browser.
- Right-click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and click Settings.
- Turn "Integrate this extension with the 1Password desktop app" off.
- Turn "Integrate this extension with the 1Password desktop app" back on.
If that still doesn't work and you still see the yellow circle then I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from 1Password in your browser:
Sending Diagnostics Reports (browser extension)
Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to
support+forum@1password.com
.With your email please include:
