Follow up 1Password 8 local backup thread
In your reply in another thread (https://1password.community/discussion/144712/including-my-1password-8-data-in-local-backups) you note "That being said, our database schema does change from time to time and you'll need a version of 1Password that uses the same schema as the old database from your backup in order to open and unlock that old copy of the database and view your passwords."
If one wanted to take the extra step of backing up their local files, would it be wise to also store with that local backup a copy of the latest version of 1Password, at the time of the back, which can be downloaded from your website?
Thanks.

Hello @Psychor! 👋
Thanks for the ping! If you're using a 1Password account then there is no need to backup your vault since your data is already backed up to your 1Password account in the cloud. If you accidentally delete an item you can always restore it from your 1Password account on 1Password.com: View and restore previous versions of items
If you're worried about losing access to your 1Password account then downloading and saving your Emergency Kit would be the best option. The Emergency Kit contains your Secret Key and you'll just need to remember your account password (or write it down on the Emergency Kit) to restore access to your account.

I'm sorry for not providing a direct answer. You asked:

I don't recommend creating a manual backup in this way but instead recommend relying on your 1Password account to encrypt and backup your data automatically to our servers. The regular installer from our website will always download and install the latest version of 1Password which means that the local cache of the database that you've saved may not match the database schema of the version of 1Password that is downloaded and installed by the installer in the future.
If you do need to download and save a separate copy of your data then using the export feature would be a better option: How to export your data from the 1Password desktop app
However, the export feature isn't designed for backups. Exports are saved in plain text and are not encrypted. If you do export your data then make sure to save and store the exported data securely.
