And a word of warning - since I used the http://i.agilebits.com/kyle/tools/1PasswordAutosubmit.pkg wunderlist has stopped working. Won't even open.

I'm having the same issue as many of the people here: 1P4 browser extension will not work on Safari nor Chrome on multiple Macs. I can look up the l/p but they will not fill nor does command-/ work. Very frustrating. 1P4 upgrade has made it useless to me. Wish I could go back.

Are you running Sophos? A tip in another thread fixed that problem for me (search the forum for "sophos").

Same here. various browsers, various results using 1PW4 MAS app or the Mini feature. Sometimes password fills, sometimes nothing, sometimes it 'goes and fills and logsin' like to 3.x days. It's getting pretty frustrating. And waiting for a reply to Customer Service email from now about six days ago. AB seems to be struggling under the load of issues in v4. Wish them the best in righting the ship.

Tried the Sophos idea again and it the auto fill function now works. Wunderlist is completely knackered though!

I am experiencing the same issue.
Chrome 30.0.1599.101 and 1Password 4.0.3 MAS

I had the same issue. Reinstalling the Chrome plug-in solved it for me. I do not why it should be necessary to reinstall the plug-in, though, so I'd ask that the developers treat this as a defect and try to fix in the next point release.

I still hav the same problem with autofill. using 1pwd4 and Safari. As i can see there are many users with the same problem. When can i (they) receive an update?

Autofill not working for me at all in Chrome. Not using Sophos or any other software mentioned. Tried reinstalling the browser extension multiple times and still no good. This is one of the main reasons I use the software and therefore it's frustrating that it isn't working.
Using:
OSX 10.8.5
Chrome Version 30.0.1599.69
Extension Version 4.0.1.990 -
Same problem here - OSX 10.8.5 and Safari 6.0.5 - it works sporadically and sometimes if I try it the second time it will work a bit. I wasn't a guru with PW 3 but was able to get automatic fill-in and log-in. Oh my iPassword 4 is from Agile.

Hi everyone,
First of all, I'd like to apologize for the delay in responding but we have been a bit overwhelmed since the launch of 1Password 4 for Mac. We're working hard to get back to our usual snappy responses and we really appreciate your patience.
Now, there are some resources to check out if the extension doesn't seem to want to fill:
If your version of 1Password 4 comes from the Mac App Store and you are having trouble getting Logins to auto-submit, you will need to install this package: http://i.agilebits.com/kyle/tools/1PasswordAutosubmit.pkg. (You may need to right-click to open after downloading if it does not automatically install.)
I do apologize for the inconvenience here, but if anyone is still having issues after going through these steps, please let us know and we'll do our best to get this sorted out for you just as soon as possible. (I'm pretty browser dependent myself - so I definitely feel your frustration!)

it's not working for me using safari on clean install of Mavericks and safari with latest build of both app downloaded from Agilebits store and also browser extension.

Hi @funktakula,
Did you already follow Megan's instruction with the articles? If yes, could you email us your diagnostic report.
Thanks!

I am having difficulty with autofill with only some websites. I read Megan's response to download the Autosubmit.pkg. Downloaded and opened package but get a message at the 'Destination Select' step that "You cannot install 1Password Autosubmit in this location. The 1Password Autosubmit installer does not allow its software to be installed here." But all three options are greyed out - not one is selected. This is sad to see.
1Password 4 on Mavericks - just installed yesterday from Mac App Store.

I found a workaround! I simply went under the preferences -> browser -> and unchecked "Animate Form Filling". Now the password can auto-fill without any problems on my browser extensions such as Safari. I hope this helps narrow down the bug in question.

Same problem for me (Safari 7.0, 1PW 4.0.1, reinstalled, Mavericks). The script is not installable. The only solution which works is described by onyx4 (deactivate filling animation) & by someone who suggested to use „right-click & search“ method.

@onyx4: your tip works like a charm! thank you!

Very frustrated. I just purchased a family license after a lot of research and now I can't even auto login in Chrome or Firefox. I tried the tip from onyx4, but it doesn't work for me.
I have read through Megan's article posts, but they don't offer any help. I have removed the extension and reinstalled and still it doesn't work as expected.

Same issue here.
Thanks Onyx4 for the workaround
I simply went under the preferences -> browser -> and unchecked "Animate Form Filling".
Now the password can auto-fill without any problems on my browser extensions such as Safari.0 -

Bonus: it is even faster to fill a login.

Hi @cwalsh and @tombarys2,
Please try this command line version of the auto-submit installer: http://i.agilebits.com/kyle/tools/installautosubmit.zip If it does not work, please take a screenshot of the message your receive, or copy the output of the Terminal and send it to us in an email: support+forum@ agilebits .com (just include a link to this forum discussion so we can connect-the-dots when we see it!)
Hi @ehalber,
Could you please send us a Diagnostics Report?
Download the 1Password Troubleshooting utility and follow the instructions to generate the report.
Then attach the entire file to an email to us: support+forum@ agilebits .com
Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.
Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!
Hi @onyx4, @tombarys2, Martin, @peter.m.calloway, and @svkrzn
I'm so glad to hear that disabling 'Animate form filling' solved the issue for you! Our developers are looking into this to see if we can't improve this behaviour in the future.

I was struggling with this same issue for hours. Thank you @onyx4

I too have been having this problem for the last week (it comes and goes). I used the Tip above to disable the animate login and now all is working. I hope this get's fixed. I'm using the App Store version.

Hi @TheDooner64 and @Boilermaker,
I'm glad to hear that disabling 'Animate form filling' helped get things working for you! We've filed this issue in our tracker and we'll do our best to get this feature working properly as soon as possible :)

I have the same problem. 1Password 4 does not fill in logins. Restarting of Safari, 1P Mini und 1P does not help. Only a restart of the system fixes the problem but after some time it won't work again. I do not know what triggers the issue. I'm using Mavericks 10.9.1, Safari 7.0.1 and 1P 4.1.3 Build 2.
I will now try if disabling the animation works.

Hi @ChrisDE123,
Please let me know if disabling the animation has had a positive effect on your form filling. I certainly hope it has :)

This is one issue that just doesn't go away for me and by the number of forum threads about it, for many of us. One time, a Logins item loads and fills a web page perfectly. Another time, it doesn't. Flipping settings may seem to change things temporarily but it doesn't really improve as a whole.
A possible explanation is that the field animation and/or the fill processing doesn't always wait (long enough?) for the web page's document to be fully loaded. Maybe its worse when the URL has to be redirected... maybe not. I cannot tell if the extension just cancels part of itself and doesn't proceed or if the browser is killing the extension's efforts if it tries to run before the page is ready. If I knew where to look I'd be more than happy to get more details about it. Whatever the root cause(s), it leads to all these random complaints. If it helps at all, if the web page is already loaded (from the previous fill failure) I've not had a single case of a fill failure and I bet most would say that's their case too.
Getting to the bottom of it and having the extension fill more reliably would be such a relief — we can then just "ask" 1Password to do something and it happens instead of asking and waiting to see if we need to ask again — this time. Even if that means extending some hardcoded internal timer and waiting another 500ms for every single fill request. I want it to work unless the page fails to load, not 70% of the time.
This issue may not be as groundbreaking as implementing vaults, or re-introducing editing in 1Password mini but it has had a frustrating impact on a great number of customers and I'm looking forward to the day when the Release Notes say a fix is ready for testing.
That's my 5 cents worth.

My 5 cents worth. MartyS is absolutely accurate about this INTERMITTENT problem. I and others have posted other threads about this previously for your website beta version and now the MAS version. It does seem to be a timing problem. Please note my "animate" setting has always been off and none of the other suggested fixes have any effect. I am currently using the MAS version, Mavericks, Safari on MBP.

Disabling the animate settings did work for me. No problems for 4 days now.
