Using 1Password across platforms

I recently bought 1Password 4 for my Mac after reading all the glowing reviews. I expected to be able to use this software across IOS and Windows platforms as well but am I wrong to believe that the only way to do this is to also buy separately 1Password for IOS and for Windows. That adds up to almost $100 - for a password manager?? What am I missing here?

    You do need 1P4 for iOS to use the sync facilities of 1P4 Mac with an iOS device. I can't speak for Windows as I no longer use any Windows device, sorry.

    1Password software is platform-specific. A single-user license for Mac will allow you to install 1Password on as many Macs as you personally use, but a separate purchase is required for Windows and iOS. We have our software available individually on each platform to make it easier to meet each customer's unique needs without charging them for software that they don't need. Because we offer 1Password on such a variety of platforms, we have found this method allows the most flexibility for our users.

    We do offer bundles for users who need both Mac and Windows so that you don't have to pay full price for the software a second time. :)
