I used 1Password 4 beta before, but since the last beta broke, I reinstalled 1Password 4 via AppStore. I removed the beta extension in chrome and installed the chrome extension via 1Password "Install Browser Extension...", but the message "Buy 1Password now!" doesn't go away

Does this sticky at the top of the forum not help you?

  • nope, because in fact I bought it through the AppStore and still get a "buy 1Password now!" message makes my problem unsolved.
As I wrote, I used 1Password 4 Beta before, but since the last beta update, it was broke and I had to install it through the mac appstore again.
1Password works fine, no "buy now" message. the message only appears in 1password mini/chrome extension.

I am having the same issue. But what I found is quite disturbing. I was fine with version 4.1. When I upgraded to v4.1.3 using the in-software update tool the licenses I had in the "Software Licenses" section disappeared. And now... wait for it... I have SOMEONE ELSES license for version 3.5.9. Someone I've never heard of from a company I've never heard of. Have NO IDEA how this is possible but it's real.

So according to both the Chrome extension and the 1Password application (non-app store version) I have no license anymore.

    Hi Benjamin Bornschein,

I apologize for the inconvenience here. Since you mention that you recently switched from the beta version to the App Store version, it sounds to me like you might still have the 1Password Beta Mini installed.

Please see this article on how to Migrate from the beta, in particular the "I deleted the beta and installed the release version, now I’m seeing issues" section for instructions on how to get rid of the extra Mini and silence that annoying message.

Let me know how this works!!

    Hi @gbpenn,

I'm so sorry to hear about your troubles with 1Password. I think the quickest way to get this sorted out is to see a screenshot of this license information. There are instructions on how to take a screenshot here: http://take-a-screenshot.org/. Please attach the image in an email to support+forum@ agilebits .com. It would be helpful if you could also include a link to this discussion and your forum handle.

We'll do our best to get this straightened out just as soon as possible!
