Question about Chrome Integration

I'm looking to buy 1Password and am very interested in the Chrome extension that allows 1Password to fill in passwords when using Chrome. However, if someone is on my laptop or desktop and they are using Chrome and try to enter a site and then click on the 1Password icon within Chrome, will it automatically fill in the info or will it first ask for my Master Password? I would hope that you could set it so that it would at least ask for the Master Password when you boot up, or after a certain amount of inactivity. This is important for me b/c I don't otherwise require a password on my Mac because it really never leaves my house.

If 1P4 is locked when someone else is using your laptop any attempt to invoke it will ask for the master password. There are the following lock options for 1P4:

    1. Lock on sleep
    2. Lock when screen saver is activated.
    3. Lock when main window is closed.
    4. Lock when fast user switching.
    5. Lock when computer is idle for x minutes.

(The minimum value for x in the last option is currently 1.)

You can check as many of those options as you want. Better still, why not download from the AgileBits site and try 1P4 for a few days to see if it works for you? I believe the trial period is about 30 days, during which time you can use it without restriction.

    Hi, @RMSko.

You've already downloaded 1Password 4 for Mac and can run it unlimited without a license for 30 days. From AgileBits Software Licenses:

The application downloaded from our website will remain fully functional for the first 30 days after you install it. After this initial trial period, you will need to purchase a license to continue using without restrictions.

After receiving your license you can simply add it to 1P4, without downloading and installing the software again, and all of your 1Password data is retained.

Plus we offer a Money Back Guarantee. :)
