What credentials can I or can't I control with 1P?
So most web logins are apparent. Beyond a web browser, what can 1P do to help me with managing passwords? Which apps outside of a web browser are supported? Mainly I mean one click control of the login experience: click the key in the menu bar and choose the login info.
Thanks!

Hi @kervin,
Thanks for your questions about this.
1Password for Mac currently only integrates with web browsers through extensions to fill your 1Password data. Here's a convenient way to copy a password from 1Password mini:
- Open 1Password mini using the keyboard shortcut, menu bar icon, or browser toolbar icon.
- Search for the specific item.
- Press Shift-Command-C to copy that item's password field.
- Paste somewhere. :)
I hope that hint helps.
Also, as our friend @MartyS helpfully explains:
1Password doesn't have any way to interact with applications other than browsers, […]. Applications in general would have to supply a programatic means to accept input from external programs before this could change. Many modern browsers do support this through extensions and that's how the "magic" occurs.
1Password is a great place to store your application credentials securely so many of us store these kind of "logins" or authentication information this way.
And here's a more technical topic about it:
Feature Request: Saving passwords (system-wide on Mac OS)
If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask. :)
