Correct files to back up?

Hello,

I know that 1PW 4 automatically backs up to a folder in the library. I have my .agilekeychain file syncing to 1PW via Dropbox. I want to make a backup copy to have on a network drive in case my hard drive goes down or my Dropbox gets deleted somehow. What should I back up? The files in the library that 1PW automatically makes, or is it more important to have the .agilekeychain file? Or both?

    Hi @bits_burton,

If you're using multiple vaults, syncing is optionally configured separately for each one. For example, you might be syncing your Primary vault with Dropbox and have syncing disabled for a secondary vault. In that case the entire 1Password database can't be recovered from the single Agile Keychain in Dropbox, only its Primary vault.

1Password 4 automatic backups are stored in these locations:

    Website and beta version: ~/Library/Application Support/1Password 4/Backups

    Mac App Store version: ~/Library/Containers/2BUA8C4S2C.com.agilebits.onepassword-osx-helper/Data/Library/Backups

Restoring from and automatic backup will recovery the entire 1Password database.
