To be clear, 1Password for Mac provides for syncing to a server folder which can be done by connecting to the webdav link of your ownCloud instance. I have successfully synced to this online folder. However, the iOS 1Password client will not allow webdav syncing.
    Please allow iOS webdav syncing.

+1 for ownCloud or secure Webdav but it must work with a self signed certificate! I can't afford a 300 Euro certificate for a private instance.

    Another +1 for ownCloud.

linuxmake- Check out DigiCert... You can get a standard SSL cert for US$175 per year (less if you purchase multiple years).

linuxmake and DjPadz - Check out StartSSL they offer free certs.

Oh, and Agilebits, please add my vote for WebDAV syncing on iOS.

    Hi there.

1Password is the main reason that I keep on using DropBox.
And if we consider that all my major passwords (among other sensitive data) are in there I don't know any other way of putting this:

Please, please, please bring ownCloud support to 1Password !!!!

    Thank you!

Please include ownCloud as a syncing option. People who use 1Password care about privacy and security. Please don't make us use Dropbox!

    +1 for Owncloud.

1Password looks gorgeous and has the best desktop app I've seen.
But it's a waste to be forced to use Dropbox for a convenient sync. I dropped dropbox long ago for Owncloud and every day a news pops up confirming my choice of going for a not american based host.

Keep the good work going on and thanks for everything guys!

I am also very much in favour of ownCloud syncing. We get get 'smarter' wlan, so a controller decides which device to put onto which base station. Now the Mac and the iPhone always end up on different base stations, and wlan syncing is as good as possible. And I don't want to get involved with ANY external cloud offer whatsoever, no matter how secure my 1Password vault is.

    Thanks for listening,

Matthias - still trying to recover having to go through 10 'guess the captcha' cycles until the forum software was happy with my username ;)

Having just finished setting up my own ownCloud instance, I'd like to throw a +1 on this as well. It would be refreshing to get some non-Dropbox/Drive support for 1P.

+1 for owncloud or some other self-hosted solution (just joining the parade). Dave's "Syncerrific Edition" email update got my hopes hopping... but no.

As of today's update, the ownCloud iOS app features a document provider extension that let's other apps access its documents. No excuses for 1Password now anymore! :) As it has been said by many people in this thread, ownCloud would make 1Password so much better, because it would enable cloud sync but still be private and secure.

There is a workaround - I am using it successfully
    1. Create owncloud sync folder
    2. Create folder named dropbox in it
    3. In 1password select dropbox sync
    4. When prompted for dropbox folder location select your dropbox folder on owncloud
voila - for me its working well

still - a formal support for owncloud is a must

My dropbox account exists solely for 1Password to allow sync between devices. I remember reading sometime back from a 1Password rep that they had zero plans to develop for OwnCloud because it added yet another platform to manage. Fair call, but at some points the masses justify the effort. I just hope 1Password doesn't ignore it's user base. I would hate to have to migrate to something else, but eventually I will. Top priority is security, even at the risk of less convenience.

Will we ever see ownCloud support? Seems it's one of the most demanded feature request...

1+ for owncloud. I'm actually holding off buying 1p as I'd rather not trust the yanks with my data in their cloud...
