Multiple Select and Tags
I'm really starting to like the tags feature. But as with all features, I think they can be improved :)
The number one thing I would really like to see is the ability to tag multiple entries at one time. Maybe select a bunch, right click, and have an option to add or remove tags to all items.
Another useful addition would be to have some favorite tags. The favorite tags would be the ones that would show in the left sidebar by default, the rest could be accessed with another click ("show al"l button?).
Finally, colors are fun :) Kind of like the tags in the Finder that change the color of an item, it would be nice to have this ability. But I would rate this ability far lower than the above two.

You can tag multiple items at once. Command click each item to select it in the items list and then drag those items on to the relevant tag.

I don't believe there's currently a way to un-tag multiple items in one fell swoop but you may be encouraged by post #2 in this thread.
