with 1Password 4 new Master Password created on a MacBookAir on an Apple-Airport-Net is not accepted
WLAN-config.:
Network: 1 iMac ( Mac OS X Mavericks ) 1 MacBookAir ( Mac OS X Mavericks ) 1 iphone5 ( ios 7.1) 1 ipad4 (ios 7.1) WLAN connected.
cloudsync: owncloud 1.5.4 (latest)
issue: I created a new Manager-Password on my MacBook Air - the password on the other 3 devices in the WLAN where not changed.
I entered the new password ( the string contained only letters and digits, no special characters) manualy and per copy in the 1Password-input field.
Regardless of the kind of input (copy and paste or manualy via keyboard) 1Password 4 rejected the new Master Password.
Question:
how can I go back, how can I get the container with the old manager-password?
Is it possible to delete 1Password 4 completely on the Macbook Air and copy e.g. via apple-airport the app with the old password?
Perhaps there may be an other way to regain access to my 1Password 4 container on my Macbook?
Thank you for the help and assistance.
Yours sincerely Sunnyc

remark: 1Password 4 was synced with owncloud 5.4

I suspect your problem arises from the fact that the master password does not sync between Macs. This detailed explanation will tell you everything you need to know about why that does not happen. Your old master password should still work on the Macs where you didn't change it. You can of course change it manually on those machines.
Does this help?

Thank You very much!
Just as You told me, the Master Password in my iMac, unlike the Master Password in my Macbook Air, did no change.
My question is now: How can I regain access to the 1Password 4 container on my MacBook Air?
Remark: for what reason ever the newly generated Master Password in my MacBook Air does not work! So until now I have only access to my 1Password 4 Container in my iMac or in the 2 ios7-devices.I am grateful for the courtesy of your reply.
Yours sincerely

I'm not quite sure what's happened on your MacBook Air. However if you're sure your 1P4 is up to date on your iMac you could do this:
- Use folder sync on the iMac to create an up to date keychain of your database on the iMac.
- Transfer the new keychain from the iMac to a folder on your MacBook Air.
- Start over on the MacBook Air and when you re-start 1P4 direct it to the location of the folder on your MacBook Air where you put the keychain so it can import it (using the master password from the iMac).
I hope that works for you. If you have further problems please post back and someone will help.

Hi @Sunnycd,
Are you able to unlock 1Password 4 on your MacBook Air using the older Master Password? If that doesn't work, you could restore the last backup of your data made before you changed the Master Password:
- Open 1Password 4
- Select File > Restore... in the menu bar
- Choose the applicable backup and click the
Restore
button
Let us know if you still need more help with any of this. Thanks!

Hi Stephen, hi sjk,
in the meantime I opened 1password4 on my iMac - remark: the device on my WLAN still used the old password - and was asked to choose the local or the icloud keychain. I choosed the one on the cloud.
When I went to my MacBook Air, I selected 1password4 and firstly updated to the latest version. Being asked for the MasterPassword I took a chance and entered the old (!) password, and hurray 1password4 opened!Thank You again for your very prompt reply to my help call.
Yours sincerely
