WiFi Sync – "Wrong Security Code"

Hi there!
I'm trying to sync my MacBook Pro with my iPhone 5. Both have the latest versions of OS and 1Password.

Every time I try to sync I get the message: "Sync problem. Wrong Security Code …" (I'm translating from the german version.)

I CAN enter a code, but it doesn't match. Of course I tried several times, and I think I'm able to type - even on an iPhone :-)

Firewall is not the issue, I turned it off: same problem.

Can you help me?

    I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble here. There are a few things we need to check before we get into the more serious troubleshooting:

    • First off, are both your Mac and iOS device on the same Wifi Network? They need to be for Wifi sync to work.

    • Are both your Mac and iOS device's clocks synchronized? Check the time on the iOS device that is not working and make sure that the time is set to the same as the other devices - you can change the time under the main Settings app > General > Date & Time.
