Password problem

I am using Firefox and the ID and password fil have worked flawlessly for years. With the last update, I have an issue with my Bank of America sign-in where it fills out the ID correctly and when it enters in the password, the site indicates bad password. I try again with the same result. My workaround is to go into the 1Password tool, copy the password from there and paste it into the PW field on the BofA site. Then it works.

There have been a number of similar reports since the extension underwent a recent extensive revision. The usual advice is to recreate the record manually. That seem usually to work. There are instructions for doing this here.

Post back about how this works out for you.

It did work once I recreated the login. Thank you

Great, @mfrancischiello! I'm glad it worked out.

It's worth remembering this anytime a login stops working. Sometimes it's because the web site itself has changed. When that happens, your old record can't be expect to update automatically to adopt those changes. Manually saving the password works to get back on track for those cases too.
