This sound really stupid, but i cannot find the way to change the password of the secondary vault.

I set a password to the secondary vault which now i want to share... so i want to change the password before sharing as i dont want the earlier password to be known. i have seen around in the setting but cannot find a way to change the password of the secondary vault.

    Hi @vikaspell,

    You're not missing anything — there's no built-in option to change a secondary vault's master password currently.

    An easy workaround is to export the secondary vault's data to an unencrypted 1PIF file (File > Export > All Items...), create a new secondary vault, then re-import your data from the 1PIF file (File > Import...).

    Be sure to securely delete the 1PIF file after you're finished (since it's unencrypted):

    1. Empty your trash (Finder > Empty Trash). (This will ensure that only the 1PIF is securely deleted since the process takes a long time and there is likely no need to securely delete all of the items in your trash.)
    2. Move the 1PIF file to the trash (File > Move to Trash).
    3. Securely empty your trash (Finder > Secure Empty Trash).

    ouch! When do you plan to fix this? IMO it is critical to be able to change the password of any vault, and like @vikaspell‌ said I also want to be able to share the password of the secondary vault to work colleagues, and it will need to regularly be changed as people come and go from this list of people.

    Is there any update on when I can expect to be able to change the password on the secondary vault? I can't use this feature the way I would like until it is available.

    I don't have an update for you at this time, but I've reminded our developers that you would really like to see this feature implemented. In the meantime, I hope that Jasper's workaround above helps makes things a little bit easier for you!

    Jasper's workaround should work, but doesn't seem reasonable to have to do. For now we are just each keeping our own copies of the various passwords and systems and not using the secondary vault from 1Password. Regularly changing passwords is part of a normal flow to keep things safe, so I'm really surprised you don't support this. I'll continue to watch this thread for an update on when this feature is supported. Thanks...
