1Password 4 with older iOS app - Wi-Fi sync compatibility? [requires 1Password 4 for iOS]

Thinking of upgrading to 1P 4 but use the older version of the reader app for the iPhone on an iPad and sync via WiFi. I think WiFi syncing has returned with the latest 1P 4 but wonder if it will talk "down" to the older version or should I plan on an upgrade there too?

    For wifi sync to work you need 1P4 on both OS X and iOS (in other words, you have to buy 1P4 for iOS).
