"You can’t open the application “1Password” because it may be damaged or incomplete." [Reinstall]

I've had no problems using the desktop 1password program for Mac for the last few years, but a few days ago, surprisingly, I clicked on the icon to load the program and I got the following error message: "You can’t open the application “1Password” because it may be damaged or incomplete."

The program will not work and the icon itself looks distorted.

Any guidance?

    Same problem here, cannot start te app anymore (after updating).

    Fix: I removed the app and reinstalled it fresh from the site.

    Hi @bdizzle,

    Please try reinstalling the 1Password application and see if that fixes the problem. Some steps for doing that are here (post #40).
