Firefox extension 4.2.3 reinstalling itself

Since reverting back from 4.2.4 to 4.2.3, every time when Firefox checks for extensions updates, it reinstalls 4.2.3 on top of itself again and again. Knowing something about Firefox addon versioning (although my knowledge may be outdated as Firefox changes addon related stuff every once in a while), you should've probably re-released 4.2.3 as 4.2.5 and not reverted back to an old version number.

Using Firefox 30 I can confirm the same behaviour. You can test for it by running Check for updates in FF add-ons manager. That results in 4.2.3 being re-downloaded and re-installed.

Hi guys.
A new beta build (4.2.4.BETA-2) came out and hopefully the earlier beta/stable version mixups and side effects are now all resolved. :)
