After updating to 1Password5 today it no longer launches but crashes with the following message:

Dyld Error Message:
Library not loaded: @loader_path/Frameworks/CrashReporter.framework/Versions/A/CrashReporter
Referenced from: /Applications/1Password 5.app/Contents/Frameworks/HockeySDK.framework/Versions/A/HockeySDK
Reason: image not found

Any troubleshooting sugestions?

Drag the app to the trash (don't use any app cleaner tool), empty the trash, re-boot then re-download and re-install. That should fix the issue.

Hi @ralstonr‌ Did Stephen_C's suggestion get you up and running again?

Thanks @Stephen_C, this seems to have solved most of the problem. It now launches without crash, but complains about an incorrect version if 1Password mini. How do I clean that part up?

    Thanks!

  • Hi @ralstonr,

I'm glad to hear that solved the problem. :)

When using 1Password in Yosemite, you need to make sure that you have a single instance of 1Password on your hard drive.

    • Make sure that you have a single copy of 1Password 5 in your /Applications folder
    • Open the 1Password main app, and press ⌃⌘Q (Control+Command+Q) to fully quit 1Password and 1Password mini.
    • Trash all other copies of 1Password from your hard drive (do not use app cleaning utilities).
    • Make sure that there is no copy of 1Password in the Trash either. Please empty the Trash if that's the case.
    • Launch 1Password, and it should work fine.

Please let us know if that helps.
