Cannot wifi sync between 1Password 4.4.3 for Mavericks and 1Password 5.1.1 for iOS
As the title says, I find myself continually unable to sync between these two versions. I've tried all the following solutions I've come across online, to no avail:
- Syncing using an ad-hoc network
- Ensuring that the firewall is off on my Mac
- Closing and reopening 1Password on both Mac and iOS
- Rebooting both devices and trying again
Upgrading to Yosemite isn't currently an option for me, and I don't think there's any guarantee that would even resolve the issue. This is really putting me in a bind and I'd appreciate some help.
More details on the versions I'm running:
OS X: 10.9.5
1Password for Mac: 4.4.3
iOS: 8.1
1Password iOS: 5.1.1

It appears that this is being caused by an inability to run Bonjour on this Mac. I've seen screenshots of older versions of 1Password for iOS where it looks like it's possible to manually specify the IP address and port of the Mac to sync with. Is there any way to still do this? Or to do something similar? I mean I can pinpoint the IP address and wifi sync port easily enough, I just need some way of conveying this to the iOS app.

Problem solved. Managed to get Bonjour running, and sure enough, that fixed it.
