No Scrollbar For Logins in 1Password Mini

Since upgrading to 1P v5, 1P mini no longer has a scroll bar for my logins. When I click on the 1P mini icon, logins for A-C are displayed and I can find no way to access d-z other than using search. This is a pain. I was wondering if anyone else has this issue and if a fix has been found.
I emailed Agilebits directly but didn't even get a response.
Thanks

    Hi @frankiepjr‌

If I bring up 1Password mini menu and bring the cursor to the Login entry it brings up a list roughly the height of the usable screen, I'm guessing at this point we're both seeing the same thing.

If I then move the cursor over to this new, so focus is on the long list and simply scroll it will scroll up and down for me. It never shows scroll bars but it does scroll. Can you confirm for me please that this isn't happening for you.

    --Edit--
Did you receive an automated response from us with a ticket ID? I tried looking for the email address you use here on the forums but I couldn't find a ticket for you.

Version 4 worked as you described. Version 5 doesn't scroll at all, even using the technique you describe. When I get to the bottom of the list all I get is a blue line.
I found the blue line is actually the next login which is about 5% visible.

That's very odd, can you check what precise version of OS X you're running please, it'll be in the About This Mac in the Apple drop down menu.

Barring that maybe try quitting 1Password 5 using ⌃⌘Q (keyboard shortcut to quit both 1Password and 1Password mini), drag that copy of 1Password 5 to your Trash, reboot and download a fresh copy on the off-chance something was messed up.

I figured as our users were going to upgrade I had no choice but to have a machine running the latest version of both Yosemite and 1Password so I could see what you were seeing when things went wrong. I haven't come across this one before. Sorry it isn't behaving for you at the moment.

I am running 10.10.1. I will delete and reinstall and let you know how I make out.

    Hello again.

I deleted 1Password with AppDelete so 1Password and all of its components were deleted. I reinstalled from the App Store, went thru the setup and ended up with the same results. Because my Logins list stops just short of the top of the dock, I hid the dock. After that the list went almost to the bottom of the screen. In both cases, no scrolling.

As you can see in this image, 1Password logins list doesn't even go to the bottom of the FireFox window. Hope this helps.

    Hi @frankiepjr,

First, I just wanted to mention that we recommend you do not use any cleaning tools to remove components related to 1Password, as you could lose your backups and data file. We certainly don't want you to lose any valuable information!

Can you please elaborate on when the list of Logins goes to the bottom of the screen, and when it doesn't even go to the bottom of the FireFox window? I'm not sure I understand when it works one way or the other.

I'm also unable to reproduce the scrolling problem, it's working fine for me. Can you describe exactly you're trying to scroll within the Logins list? (For example, moving the mouse to the bottom of the list, using a scroll wheel on a mouse, swiping down on a Magic Mouse, using 2 fingers to swipe down on a trackpad, using the arrow keys on a keyboard, etc.)

And just to make sure we understand - when you only see items A to C, are you able to type the first few letters of another Login that isn't shown and find it via Search?

    Thanks!

The image of FireFox where the list stopped way short of the bottom of the page was by clicking on the IP mini icon on the FireFox Toolbar. The other instance where the list length changes, depending on whether the dock is hidden or not is in the Finder and by clicking on the Finder's menubar 1P mini icon. In both cases it was by clicking with the mouse. As far as trying to scroll, I simply moved the mouse pointer to the bottom of the list as you would in any other scrolling menu, etc., but I don't get the scrolling. Also, yes I can type in the search and get to all of my logins. The only issue is it won't scroll. This scrolling issue is only with 1P. Other programs such a M$ Word's font menu scrolls normally.

I think I understand the confusion here. Most of us here at AgileBits use MacBooks, so we just use two fingers on the trackpad to scroll further down in the list, or use the scroll wheel on our mouse if we happen to be using a mouse. If you're using a mouse without a scroll wheel, however, that obviously isn't possible, so one does need to be able to move the mouse pointer to the bottom of the list to see more items. Unfortunately, there is a known issue in the current version of 1Password 5 in OS X Yosemite where moving the mouse pointer to the bottom of the list doesn't automatically cause the list to scroll down. We are looking into it, though, and hope to get it fixed in a future update.

I'm sorry we don't have better news for you at the moment @frankiepjr‌ Hopefully it will get resolved soon, either through an update to OS X or us. At least we know what we're dealing with now.

I too hope that this can be corrected in the not too distant future as it forces one to have to open the actual 1Password app if the desired password is one of those that appears further in the list when you try to access passwords using the menubar feature in OS X. Not sure what all Apple did in their creation of Yosemite but I have never seen so many glitches with a new OS X as there have been in Yosemite. Using Safari 8.0.2, OS X 10.10.1 and 1Password 5.0.2. At least we have that work around but it is a pain having to do that when you know that it worked just fine previously.

    @harriew‌

Both Yosemite and iOS 8 have their share of quirks it's true. I'm not sure I would have jumped on the bandwagon anywhere near as soon as I did if it wasn't for the need to support 1Password 5 although the Extensions in iOS 8 are a great feature.

Scrolling in the 10.10.2 beta is even worse - just a heads up (and still hoping Apple fix it as I know they've been informed).

Any idea when this issue will be addressed? The not too near distant future has passed and still no resolution...

    Hi @frankiepjr,

I believe the next release of 1Password for Mac might hold some improvements that you'll be happy to see. If you're running the Agile Web Store (AWS) version of 1Password for Mac you can download the beta from our AgileBits Download page page if you like to try it out. See what you think and you can move back to the stable just as easily if you don't like the idea of running a beta.

My understanding is there just wasn't time to work on this properly before we released 1Password 5.1 for Mac and so it has been incubating in the current beta while we prepare for the next stable release.

If you try it out let us know what you think.
