Hey, me n my mum use the same computer, each with individual accounts. I've been strengthening my account. Including use of the excellent 1password.

I want to do the same for my mums. I tried loading up 1Password after logging into hers, and it offers me a new setup.

I was wondering, if i set up 1Password for her logins, will it erase mine in the other account?

thanks n peace :)

  • Hi @Ruski,

1Password will use a separate database on each OS X user account. You can setup 1Password on your mom's user account without interfering with your setup.

Please let us know if you have any other questions. We're always happy to help! :)

I sign on to my MAC in either a Family account or my own personal, as well as having children accounts. I want to access the SAME EXACT 1PW database from two user signons. I would think I could install a new version and point it at the agilekeychain file from two users but I can't find it?

Is there some other way to do this?

    Hi @drneutrino,

You have a couple of options there. Do you use Dropbox? If you do you could Share a vault using Dropbox. If you don't like the idea of syncing using a cloud service like that then you could use Folder Sync to keep the .agilekeychain local. This is more involved though as the responsibility of syncing and conflicts is on the user. I've supplied links to our main pages for both approaches but if you have any more questions do please ask.
