cannot obtain license

Having trouble getting a license. I just purchased 1Password 5 in the Apps Store with my apple id account on my MBP. I then installed 1PW on my MBP. Now I'd like to extend it to the iOS devices but the form refuses to recognize my email account. When I go to then "contact" page, I am asked to enter my email - the same that Agile does not recognize - so that I can be identified and receive the license. Looks like a loop. At the same time, I have already received Agile's newsletter. Apparently, there is no problem sending me their stuff - except the license info. Pretty shabby, I'd say.

    @gfreidin‌

    There is no license if you purchased from the MAS. I have no clue what you mean by "the form refuses to recognize my email account." The IOS version of 1P is a free download from the iTunes App Store (accessible from your IOS devices). There is an "in-app" purchase for a "Pro" version of the IOS 1P but I don't know what that gets you.

    @gfreidin‌ you can read about 1P5 for iOS (which is a separate purchase from 1P for Mac) in this AgileBits blog post.

    Solved! Instructions could be better. I thought I needed a licence to have it installed on my iPad and iPhone but, in fact, you don’t need one. After installing on a mac, the other devices can open the program directly from the app store app. So, I wasted my time needlessly trying to obtain a licence… Other than that, seems to be working as advertised.

    Hi @gfreidin,

    I apologize for the confusion here.

    After installing on a mac, the other devices can open the program directly from the app store app.

    This is not quite correct. As @Stephen_C mentions above, 1Password is a separate purchase on each platform you wish to use it on. So a license for 1Password for Mac allows you to install on as many Macs as you use, but 1Password for iOS/Android/Windows will need to be purchased on their own. However, both 1Password 4 for Android and 1Password 5 for iOS are available as freemium apps - you can download and use them for free, with additional features available via an In-App Purchase.

    I hope this helps to explain things, but if you have any further questions or concerns, we're here to help!
